OUR ARRANGER
Camal Qurbanov
Composer · Arranger · ProducerCamal Qurbanov is a composer, arranger and music producer. He is the author of three works held in the Golden Fund of Azerbaijani music — “Zəfər marşı”, “Vətən marşı” and “Cənab Ali Baş Komandan”.
He works with the country’s leading performers, among them Alim Qasımov, Röya, Tünzalə Ağayeva, Natiq Şirinov and Əlixan Səmədov. The new arrangement of “Uzaqlıq”, which Röya performed from Aygün Kazımova’s repertoire, is his as well.
One idea sits at the centre of his work: bringing the living breath of mugham and folk music together with modern production. In 2019 he presented a contemporary arrangement of “Sarı gəlin” at the opening of the World Film Festival in Egypt.
RECORDING & MASTERING
Toufan Records
Recording · Mix · MasteringToufan Records is a recording studio that has been running since 2004. It started in Tabriz and has been based in Baku since 2017 — for 22 years the same person has stood behind the desk: sound engineer and producer Toufan.
A song is finished here under one roof, from the first vocal take to the final master: live instrument and vocal tracking, mixing and mastering. The room is acoustically designed and equipped with a professional console, a reference monitoring system and analogue outboard gear.
Local and international artists work in this studio — among them Emin Agalarov, Ati from Turkey and Michael Jackson’s son.
Recording, mixing and mastering for Atropatena Digital artists is done in this studio.
